hyflyt Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Someone mentioned that either the 60 or 76 came with City Nav, but the Garmin website does not indicate this. If it did, it would seem the extra $100 would be worth the cost over the Vista. But other than a slightly bigger screen and the included SD card, what makes the 60 and 76 better/more expensive than the Vista? Thanks again, you all are a wealth of info. J Quote
Glenn W Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 None of the receivers you listed come with map software other than the basemap. If you don't mind the smaller screen and the buttons located on the side, the Vista HCx is the best bang for the buck. These features however limit its usefulness as a car navigator. Quote
+imajeep Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Some retailers sell GPSr/map bundles at a discount. That's how I got my first unit. Quote

+apersson850 Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 There are a few other features as well, on the larger units, which an eTrex will not support. Like RS232 NMEA data output for an autopilot in a boat, for example. Some users couldn't care less. To others, it's vital. Quote
