Take a DOG out caching...

I am going to follow in Lemon Fresh Dog's footsteps and have a contest...since we don't have any kids we can't enter the kid picture contest...since I'm feeling left out I thought that I would do the same sort of thing, but you have to post pictures of your DOG while out caching...it's only fair. And NO KIDS ALLOWED! Adults and dogs are fine....discriminatory...maybe...but it's only fair to all the kidless/dog owners out there!

 

I will send out 7 of our new "Tank Hounds 2007" coins (see link). I'll send out 4 of the antique gold coins (only 50 made) and 3 of our antique silver ones. I'll randomly choose 7 posts (of the ones that have pictures of course). I'll give everyone until the end of the day on July 4th to get your pictures posted....

Unfortunately our puppy was diagnosed with parvo late yesterday, so we won't be able to participate.

Here is Roxy at 6 months old on her first caching experience curled up on my backpack after a 3/4 mile hike through 10 inches of fresh snow. She was one tired little dog. I ended carrying her most of the way out.

Can we enter someone else's caching dogs? Although we've never met in person we have a local cacher friend who leads by example when it comes to doing all the right things while caching with a dog. I can just imagine their surprise to find out they'd won. So can we nominate someone else?

What a beautiful dog.

She really reminds me of my dog Ana who has a monotone gold coat but is very similar in size and shape.

That first picture really brought back memories of my last dog (Honey) when she was a puppy. She used to ride in my coat pocket when I went grocery shopping, she was a tiny pup like Koh Koh.

I can tell Koh Koh likes geocaching!

I always take Ana geocaching, she just freaks out when I get out my cache maintenance bag, she knows where every one of my caches is hidden and knows exactly which trail we are going to take all the time.

This picture of My Yellow Lab Max was taken when we found Cache At The End Of The Rainbow (GC1E4B). Max is wet because we had just forged the river (below the falls in the background) to get to the cache. Max is a great geo-companion ... he absolutely loves to go hiking, swimming and caching!

Little Bit was the Tribes Caching Hound. Everytime we stopped the car she would start off with a high pitch howl followed by excited yipping until we let her out of the car. She could sniffed out caches we couldn't find.

Woo hoo a contest for the doggie. Here are some pics of my little puppy Candy. She loves going out geocaching with me. It is a new hobby for both of us, about 2 months now.
