What do you Drive for Caching

Recommended Posts

I drive my white 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager minivan with 258,000 miles on it!

No, that's not a typo. I'm the original owner and passed the quarter million mark about 6 weeks ago. It has the original 3.0 L engine, but the transmission was rebuilt at 140,000 miles at the Chrysler dealership.

I pulled out the second and third row seats and fill the back with stuff for geocaching, kayaking, and snorkeling. It is often seen with a red kayak on the roof.

My '00 Accord, 130k, tons of hail damage from last August.

Oh, and yes, my garage was full of stuff at the time, and no, I wasn't about to out in the hail to throw blankets or cardboard over the car when the hailstones were that big and coming down in excess of 100mph!!! :)

(You'd be surprised at how many people thought I was stupid for staying inside and taping the ordeal.)

Made a claim, took the check, paid it off, paid for glass out-of-pocket, and now I drive it just like always.

Still gets 31mpg, which is amazing considering it burns oil and I drive like a maniac sometimes.

:)

I figure all of the dents are like the dimples on a golf ball, they actually help me go faster!

I've got a '98 Ford Escort that gets me around. Poor lil thing just wasn't made for some of those 4wheeler trails. But it looks with pity upon those other cars that just have boring, mundane lives only upon the "roads."

Also, we often take my girlfriends '06 PT Cruiser, no off-roading in that one!

Just got the parts in to fix my bike, so there will be 3 Suzuki GS bikes represented here! '82 GS750T

The Snoogmobile (2005 Xterra 4WD) was purchased just before GeoWoodstock 3 and has cached through 24 states coast to coast and been to 3 Geowoodstocks. It has just under 50k miles on it right now.

For FTF on those micros at Wal*mart...

:):)

What is the thrust to weight ratio for that rig????? What I see is a 4 wheeled death seat. You don't dare turn it. :)

It works great on those straight as a line power trails... :)

Used to be red one but now it is the green one B)

 Nice!

I am driving my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport (5 speed) around Virginia/North Carolina. For the distant caches collected while depositing my son in college in NY I take a 2005 Mercury Mariner, while grabbing urban caches a 2006 Mini Cooper gets me in and out quickly. I prefer my Cherokee, it has a travel bug affixed to it!

Of course, you've set the bar high for yourself.

NOW to top yourself, you'll need to skydive to the CZ (Cache Zone) of a 20+ mile round trip hiking cache so you can hike the 10 miles out and hit 30 more caches on the way home. Then post a thread about it. I will be the first of your worshippers.

Cool rig BTW. You are a cachers cacher!

Duke: The Wango Tango Durango

(no...I didn't let those people inside of it)

:anitongue:

I drive a red 2000 4x4 Durango. It really loves gas, so I feed it all the time! B)

Yeah...Duke's a growing boy too. :P

Hmmm, I never named mine. I guess it's a horse with no name. But I have been to the desert with it.......

I've been through the desert on a horse with no name

It felt good to be out of the rain

In the desert you can remember your name

cause there aint no one for to give you no pain

La la la la la.... B)
