If you can get one for less than $10, it might be worth it. It's not good enough for geocaching. Quote Link to comment

+Cacheoholic
Magellan GPS300 has no maps, only resolves to 2 decimal places and reads distance down to .01 miles. What does that mean in English? It’s only good for about + or – 53’ accuracy at best. You can Geocache with it but you better not be in a hurry. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
How much do you want to spend? There are some excellent, much-newer GPSr options now . . . but your budget would be good to know if you want other suggestions of what to get. Quote Link to comment
+user13371
I wouldn't go with an old 300/315. If you're gonna go for an "antique," I'd say go no further back than the Magellan Map 330. Same form factor as the 300, looks just like the OP's pitcure. Can also accept maps (if you can find an old copy of MapSend to go with it), is accurate enough for caching, and is solidly built. Can sometimes find these on eBay for under $50, and they're really pretty good for the money. Quote Link to comment
