LayneLucero801 Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 While camping out at Lone Rock with a bunch of Scouts, we stumbled onto a concrete marker. It is a white, square block, approx. 4 inches on a side, held down by 2 metal stakes. It on BLM property. Coordinates are: N 40* 42.369' W 112* 41.105' Anyone have any idea what it is or why it's out there? Thanks- Layne Quote

I plugged in those coordinates and there is not a mark close in the GC/NGS database that we use. It might help to know what was stamped on the disk and a date, a picture would help. You could log it at Waymarking.com. BDT has a great place to log non NGS/GC marks. Good Hunting. Shirley~ Quote
Bill93 Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Do you have a picture? There are lots of kinds of markers out there, so it is hard to guess its purpose unless someone has seen a similar one in the area, or there are some identifying letters and numbers on it. Did it have engraving in the concrete, or stamping on the metal? Quote
