+EllyScott Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I'm fairly new, ok, really new to Geocaching, but I have been looking at the different types of geocoins available, and it seems that if you want a custom coin, you can only buy them in bulk. Besides eBay, where would I go to just buy one coin? Quote
+msrubble Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 If you want to have a custom coin with your own design, then yes, you'd need to buy in bulk. If you would like to see what vendors are currently offering, coins they have in stock and will sell individually, try the Geocoin Sales and Outlets section of Geocoin-info.net. Also, in the Geocoin section of this forum are announcements of cachers who have made custom coins, and some are selling the geocoins individually or in small sets. Quote
+briansnat Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Moving to geocoin forum where the coin enthusiasts can help. Quote
+Go JayBee Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 I'll sell you "one geocoin"....see my trading list, below... Quote
+Team chelmo Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 (edited) Apart from the retailers, a lot of new coins get posted in here with links to where you can buy them,(generally they average about $8 US + Shipping/coin). If you want a coin with your name on it then perhaps the Geo Jelly project could be for you Edited May 31, 2007 by Team chelmo Quote

Not a bad price if you want just a few coins with your own GeoNick on it. You only have to buy 20 coins instead of like 100+ coins. Quote

As with the geotags, nobody is willing to trade unless it's another geotag Quote

If you want a coin with your name on it then perhaps the Geo Jelly project could be for you $8? That seems rare these days, especially with so many people selling coins at $12+ postage. I would say the coins average $10. Quote
