I had 2.70 installed and I can't believe the difference!

I get reception (good reception) in place's inside my house that the CX would struggle to get a SAT loc at all, I can't wait to see how it will do under all these leave's at my cabin.

That is one move that was well worth my time!

I reverted to 2.60 last night and my VentureCX could see the birds from inside my apartment for the first time.

Could be a giant coincidence, but this anecdote along with the other posts suggests that 2.70 may have a sensitivity problem.

Anyone talked to Garmin about this yet?

Strange. I have a Venture Cx with 2.70 with the stuck screen that really doesn't bother me. But I don't have any reception issues. Works just fine in my house even not near a window.

Difference between Vista Cx and Venture Cx somehow? Haven't heard too much about this 2.70 firmware issue in the last couple weeks. I figured everyone went back to 2.60 and was happy.

We are having a huge discussion about it here

I just downgraded my Venture CX to 2.6 and it made a world of difference. Now I can usually get within 10 ft and better of the mark where before my GPS would point to a different spot usually 20-30 ft away. I hope garmin gets this issue fixed in 2.8.
