caveman3
I am looking for new and exciting places to hike. I want a challenging terrain and a difficult cache. I would like top explore some new areas around the state. Does anyone have any ideas? I live in syracuse and im willing to travel. Quote Link to comment
+CYBret
This would work best in your regional forum. Moving it there. Bret Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Try some of the Catskill caches. The Aircrash 3 cache on Kaaterskill High Peak is a a bit of a challenge. Quote Link to comment
+GPS Guy
I just found a new log for GCM5R6 in my inbox today. Read Timpat's May 21 log. It may fill your need. Quote Link to comment

+HaLiJuSaPa
I know this technically doesn't count (at least compared to say the Catskills stuff that Briansnat mentioned), but given what you're asking if you're ever down in NY City you just have to go to this one: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...16-e8fb2ed8cc49 It's short, but steep. You won't believe you're within the boundaries of New York City (in fact, you're technically on Manhattan Island!). Quote Link to comment
Cracker.
If you ever get over along the Genesee River, between Mt Morris (Letchworth SP) and the PA border, drop me a line. I can give you a heads up on quite a few. Most are intermediate hikes, of not much more than a mile or three, but I seem to be expert at turning these into long, 7 to 10 mile, all day hiking adventures...LOL I usually end up taking routes and seeing scenery 95% of cachers who do them, never see. +skyraider
If you want challenging terrain and difficulty, why not try "BWT's Phobia Series-Acrophobia" ? It is near you and has been one of my most challenging caches to date. I did it a couple of weeks ago for #1,000. Raider Quote Link to comment
