The ammo box was taken when the park department redid a small pedestrian bridge (small = almost ornamental). The owner disabled the cache and has not replaced it. Can I replace and adopt the cache? Put a new cache in a differnent location in the park near there? or does the 528 rule still apply? Or should I just put in a new cache on the other side of the park - admittadly not as quaint as the area around the bridge. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand Posted May 22, 2007 Share Posted May 22, 2007 How long has it been disabled? If it has been 6 months or more - contact the owner and see what is up - offer to adopt the cache. Then, if nothing happens there, you can contact a local reviewer and ask that the site be archived. Explain your contact or attempted contacts with the owner. Disabled caches should be temporarily - but life occasionally gets in the way. Yes you have to respect the 528 rule as long as the cache is not archived. Quote Link to comment
