+Cheesy pigs Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 I thought the Silver, trade only Koala would be good for a few reasons - it's a Koala, and therefore very Australian, and also the coin was gifted to me from forthferalz for maintaining one of her caches, so it started its friendship run early. +avroair Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 I was thinking of doing something similar and calling it "The Usual Suspects" The coin would be mailed from geocoin collector to geocoin collector and have a logbook for them to sign. Much like the travel bug of ye olde. Quote
+sillygirl & jrr Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 We also have one special coin incoming from Cheesy pigs, A XLE Koala Bear traveling all the way from Australia, Have to find some Eucalyptus for this furry fellow after his long trip to the states Friendship Run Koala Glenn We have lots of Eucalyptus trees in Hawaii. Plus we just got back from Sydney. Currently our Pay It Forward is traveling by being given from cacher to cacher, so we think this is a great way to safely release coins. Quote
+tokencollector Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 It's an interesting idea, but I rarely run into other cachers at caches unless it is at or immediately after an event (probably less than a dozen times in nearly 1k caches). I saw a TB listed in a hotel with a similar goal a month or so ago (it wasn't actually in then hotel when I got there). If it had been ther and I did pick it up, I might have had to hold onto it for a long time. Quote

For when this will happen, And it may indeed happen on occasion it would be perfectly ok to do this :: avroair Posted Yesterday, 11:59 PM I was thinking of doing something similar and calling it "The Usual Suspects" The coin would be mailed from geocoin collector to geocoin collector and have a logbook for them to sign. Much like the travel bug of ye olde. Except without the log book the "coins" log page would suite just fine If at any point where the coin could not be moved forward, I would pay it's postage home, and or you a cacher could mail it on possibly with a trade and or my help , I would encourage it's movment forward . There is no formal time table, but would like them to be moved to a new place to be shared every 3-6 weeks max ? If they can not be moved by a cacher forward . My offer stands to pay postage home, and I will restart the coin onward. sillygirl & jrr We have lots of Eucalyptus trees in Hawaii. Plus we just got back from Sydney. Perhaps The Koala will come visit you, after he has a bit of R&R in South Florida I was fortunate to have a Gold LE Pay It Forward sent to me. There are still plans for this coin Thank you all for the participation so far Edited May 12, 2007 by glennk721 Quote

+Cheesy pigs Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 (edited) Looks like the trip over did him no harm! And Glenn, you seem to be looking after him admirably I can see him not wanting to come home - he was just one little coin nestled amongst hundreds of others in a container when he was here!
