Insp Gadget
Can someone explain to me why I always have to log in on the Geocaching WAP page? Does it not use cookies or is it my Blackberry? Quote Link to comment
Relboc
I just found the WAP site. Wow, I am in trouble now. Great feature. To answer your question, I am a BB user as well. It forces me to log in each time. Quote Link to comment
Dryphter
Log in every time from a Treo as well. No big deal. Quote Link to comment
Desert Trekker
I also have to log in each time using my i-mate. It's annoying but, I guess, I will have to live with it. Quote Link to comment
Snifferhound
Dumb question. What's WAP? Quote Link to comment
Relboc
WAP is Wireless Application Protocol. it is essentially a mobile friendly site that has less graphic demand, fewer bells and whistles. For purposes here, you can pull up http://wap.geocaching.com from your BlackBerry, Treo, or other mobile phone/PDA and find or log a cache, get hints, etc. Paperless caching. Quote Link to comment
Skytracker
I used this feature for the first time today and it's great! I found that although I do have to log in, it is not such a big deal to do so. I am using a Nokia 6680 phone and the only thing that makes it difficult is having the predictive text turned on. The phone moves between predictive and non depending on what field you are in and it's easier without it. It also won't go to the SPELL? default when you are having trouble entering a waypoint. So much better than trying to view web pages on the phone. Quote Link to comment
