+dgc808
Hi all, I have been requested to disable one of my caches that i have had as unavailable for a few months now and was wondering how i go about it ? Is it just a case of archiving the cache on the cache page ? Any help greatly received. Cheers DGC808 Quote Link to comment
+wizard1974uk
Yes it's as simple as that Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
If it's already disabled you are good. If you need to disable the cache because it's not available just now but you will take care of it. That option is under the Cache title on the cache page. If you will never take care of it. Archiving it is the right option. Archiving it taken care of throug the Navigation section on the right. This is where you normally go to log a find, just lower on the list. Quote Link to comment
+Cardinal Red
And after archiving be sure to go out and pick up the container. Or ask for help from someone else who could do it. Quote Link to comment
Edgemaster
Needs archived logs are helpful hints from cachers to the owners (and reviewers) that something needs to be done to the cache. You are under no obligation to archive the cache, as long as you replace it. However, if you have no intention in replacing it, archival is the best route. Quote Link to comment
