enbloc
Flea markets, gun shows. Even eBay has them..although shipping might be cost prohibitive. I had a spare from my ammo cache that Ive already painted up and filled with goodies . Just waiting on the cables and charger to come in the mail. I wonder if the cables and charger are for the explosive device? Lots of outdoor stores in Oregon carry them. The surplus stores aren't around as much as they once were. The last box of ammo I got was plastic. Lots of sealable plastic containers, not so rugged tho. Quote Link to comment
enbloc
No IEDs here my friend. Got a Magellan 400 on the cheap, but it didnt come with the cables or charger. Should be in by Friday, so maybe I can get out this weekend and hide my stash... Where can i buy an ammo box for a cache ? i tried the stores on geocaching .com. Quote Link to comment
+randyinaloha
I just made my first cache today. Dollar store plastic jar with screw-on lid. Sprayed on expanding foam with dirt and leaves thrown on while sticky. Will hide it May 1 and try and figure out how to publish a new cache. Quote Link to comment
+TrailGators
You can buy them at any military surplus store. Quote Link to comment
+elvisontour
You may want to look for an army surplus store... I have seen ammo containers there. Good Luck. Quote Link to comment

They often carry them. I have two left, one large and one small from my time in the service but I have seen them at Fleet Farm stores. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
http://www.american-armynavy.com/ammocan.htm is where I buy them - they have flat rate shipping no matter how many you buy so it makes sense to order a bunch. Quote Link to comment
+Driver Carries Cache
Make a flyer and find your local Rod & Gun Club, or Range and post on their bulletin board. There's a guy at our range that just leaves them with a sign marked "FREE". You really can't beat that! Driver Carries Cache (madmike) Quote Link to comment
+Thrak
I just buy them at a local military surplus store. I get .30 cal cans for $3.50 and .50 cal cans for $5.00. Getting cans isn't a problem for me. Finding a quality hide for them is the problem. Quote Link to comment
