david.travis
Has anyone had to remove their Invisible Shield from their GPS? Did it leave any residue? One other question on it -- I have read that to remove it, it works best if you re-wet it with the solution that is used to apply it. Any input will be appreciated. Quote Link to comment
Paulsan
I'm not wure why you would WANT to remove it unless it was damaged. My understanding is that you simply rewet it with the solution to remove it. I'm guessing you would have to lift it a little to get the solution under it and continue to wet it as you lift. +embra
Before they started supplying the solution, they suggested a very mild soap solution--we're talking a few drops of dish soap in a half cup of water. I'm assuming that the "solution" is the same formula. Quote Link to comment
Sputnik 57
Actually, IIRC, it is one drop of detergent in a cup of luke warm water (the detergent just breaks the surface tension of the water). I use that in lieu of the little spray bottle of stuff they send. Quote Link to comment
LetterDude
I don't think the solution helps at all in terms of removal...just peel it off slowly and then clean the screen with eyeglass cleaner and a soft cloth. That worked for me. Craig Quote Link to comment
Knight2000
Has anyone had to remove their Invisible Shield from their GPS? We tried to remove ours. The funny thing was when we went to remove it, we couldn't find it. It really lives up to its name. Quote Link to comment

david.travis
What good does it do to remove this shield? The shield I have has an imperfection on it that did not work itself out after a few days or "drying". So, it will need to be replaced. Thus, the reason for asking about removal. Anyway, called them today and am getting a replacement sent. They are GREAT to deal with. Quote Link to comment
Gadget_Cacher
i recently bought one for my 60csx...install was easy and i only know its there because the screen now has a tiny bit more reflection to it than before. Otherwise you don't even notice it. It was well worth the 7.95 i spent on it. Plus i got the free shipping and with the new UPS/USPS system i even got a tracking number with it. I hope i never have to see it in action, but i am glad i have it on there. Quote Link to comment
