Geocaching with a group

If several registered members of this website find a cache together, can we all log in the find individually or can only one of us log the find?

In my opinion, you each log it as a find.

 

Different people have different opinions. You do what YOU feel comfortable doing, basically.

When in a group, we've used both methods. Each registered member of the group signs the physical log and on-line logs separately. We've also made up small stickers with all of our geo-nicknames to quickly stick on a physical log to hurry up the process when on a cache run. Once home, everyone signs the on-line log to receive their smiley!

 

Of course, the most important thing is to have fun and be with friends.

Nothing in the regulations says you can't all do the on line log! As crawil said, the most important thing is to have fund and be with friends.

You worked as a team to find the cache, so you certainly can each log the find.

 

What some people do when caching in a group is that as each person finds the cache, he walks away then mentions that he found it, while others contiue to hunt. This gives everyone the chance to find it and those who

found it first the get opportunity to laugh at and abuse those who are still looking. It's not necessary to do it this way, but some people find it to be fun.

When caching as a group - we have always each logged the find as we were working together to find it.
