Got a good deal on the unit, maps and auto kit- so sealed the deal.

Will Oregon and Washington fit on existing memory (and how do you find that out), or do I need to upgrade the memory right away? If I need to upgrade memory- can someone steer me in the right direction?

Select the sub-maps in mapsource it will tell you the size. I have 512mb installed in mine, and have all of BC both topo and metro, plus another 16000 custom POI, and still have room left.

Looks to be about 56 meg with CN8.

I believe the Legend ships with a 32 mb card so that wouldn't be quite enough. If it is a 64mb card it would work. most people upgrade the microSD sooner rather than later. 1gb cards are $15-20 and 2gb cards are around $30-40. Amazon.com is a good place to start.

If I'm not mistaken, the Legend Cx originally shipped with a 32MB card, but now ships with a 64MB card. All cards seem to be created equal with the exception of the San Disk Ultra II cards which fry in the x units.
