Carlos & The Birdie Crew Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 ....... we had a mini meet. Armed with the correct time info we ran out of the pub at 9:30 (ish) and saw The International Space Station!! Is this a loggable virtual? we asked ourselves. That's what I'm asking. Does anybody know? Thanks in advance, Carlos Quote
Globetrotter.uk Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 It was once a cache, but now archived I think. But you need a photo or a gps or something if I remember Quote
FollowMeChaps Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 (edited) This is an excellent site to find out when you can see it, and other objects, subject of course to our weather! http://www.heavens-above.com/ Try tomorrow (Friday 21st) around 20:55 hrs loking to the West or Sat at 21:15 - you'll also see Saturn. This should show you the ground track & times http://www.heavens-above.com/gtrack.asp?da...amp;satid=25544 Edited April 19, 2007 by FollowMeChaps Quote
Father Jack Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Nasa.gov also has very good info, thing about the ISS is that it is only in the sky for a few mins, if your lucky!! Still is cool to see if you can. Quote
The_Westies Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Unfortunately I think you're looking for GCC349 International Space Station. It was at one point classed as a virtual but was then reclassified August last year to be a locationless cache and then promptly archived as they were no longer allowed! We managed to log it before it went from the Lets Go Camping in Oxford event where there were loads of us just sitting round the campsite watching it. Quote
The Cache Hoppers Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Lots of us logged it at the Shropshire 2005 event - the event where some wine mysteriously went missing Quote
Dobunnis Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Lots of us logged it at the Shropshire 2005 event - the event where some wine mysteriously went missing Ah yes we remember that event (hic)... Lianne, wine always goes 'missing' when you are around Quote
rogerncook Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 (edited) Just been outside to find it, but can confirm it has been muggled. BTW - I'm in Algeria (not St Helens) at the moment, may be its still around in St Helens? Can you see it from your end Carlos.....Me thinks that beer is too strong for you in the Griffin?
