greystones
I've tried using the "MapIt" function for a Zip Code, but I need more advice on how to get coordinates. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
PeterNoG
To get the coords for a zip code, for example 58201. After you do the search and use the MapIt function, the url has the coords. For 58201 the url is http://www.geocaching.com/seek/gmnearest.a...mp;lon=-97.0549 so the latitude is 47.9117 which converts to N 47 54.702 and the longitude is 97.0549 which converts to W 97 03.294 I like using GeoCalc http://www.fizzymagic.net/Geocaching/GeoCalc/GeoCalc.html for convert coordinates from DD.DDDD to DD MM.MMM. +Boot Group
Just change your "home" zipcode on your profile to the zipcode of the GZ. Then, you'll see the GZ coordinates. Quote Link to comment
srt4guy
O.K. call me a stick in the mud, but shouldn't your answer have been, "Why don't you ask the owner of the cache for a hint?" instead of giving away someone's hard work? Just my $0.02 Tim Quote Link to comment

The Leprechauns
I got to ground zero at the "Walk in the Park" cache. Once I was there, I looked under the rocks and inside the hollow logs. But no cachey goodness. Can somebody please tell me where to find it? Quote Link to comment
trainlove
That's just great. Go ahead and give away the ingenuity of the creators of the ground zero caches (Team Spoonhead) and let anyone who asks be able to find them without figuring out any of the four methods for themselves. *** Rant Mode NOT OFF *** Quote Link to comment
trainlove
The true answer to this post should have been, "Go figure it out for yourself", or perhaps ask someone, in person, at an event only to be told, "Go figure it out yourself". But maybe the real answer should have been, why that particular ground zero is at N45 12.345 W076 54.321. That's just about what was given by the despoiler. *** Rant mode maybe OFF *** Quote Link to comment
