We bought our first Palm on Ebay for 15$ including shipping.

 

Doesn't have alot of frills but if it dies who cares.

 

I suggest trying there for a cheap one.

If you do hiking caches you don't need a Palm because most are easy to find (unless the coords are way off). You can also load hints into your GPS with GSAK.

For a really cheap solution to geocashing download Google Earth.

I would also have to say that Ebay is the place to get a real cheap Palm,....I've got mine a PalmIIIC for 15$ shipping included, like 3-4 years ago.....and if you ruin it during a hike it wont be as bad a ruining a brand new one...

I just recently went paperless and I absolutely LOVE it. I found this article and I could not believe it could be as simple as he makes it sound, but man.... it really is.

 

I found a Plam V on ebay and got it for $21 and that included shipping. I followed the instructions and bam.... done.

 

The software he suggests is FREE (donateware) What could be better. If you can shell out $20 - $40 for an inexpensive palv on Ebay then you can make it happen.

Keep watching this forum. I bought a Palm iiixe with case and cradle, plus an optional keyboard case for $25 not too long ago from someone that moved up to something else that worked better with their system. Good deals happen on here all the time.
