NickPick
I'll also add my impressed thanks to Garmin for returning me a brand spanking new etrex to replace my one with a missing page button and loose rubber band. I'll now be able to contribute to threads about waas/egnos. Thanks Garmin. Quote Link to comment
+The Cache Hoppers
Does anyone with a Nuvi know if there is an easy way to get the microphone jack off the back of the unit so it fits in its little carry case? Only had mine a few days and I have to use a fair bit of force to get it off - I'm worried I might break it. (I have read the manual!) Quote Link to comment
Ayondin
Not sure as I only have the nuvi 300 which doesnt have a microphone, but if by microphone jack you mean the bit that sits on the ball joint, there should be a tab on the bottom that you press Quote Link to comment
+The Cache Hoppers
Not sure as I only have the nuvi 300 which doesnt have a microphone, but if by microphone jack you mean the bit that sits on the ball joint, there should be a tab on the bottom that you press Yes that's the bit. Pressing the tab doesn't seem to release it. I wonder if its just because its new and needs loosening up a bit. Its a minor irritation though. Otherwise a brilliant gadget and chuffed to bits that I can use it as a blue tooth hands free for my phone Edited April 12, 2007 by The Cache Hoppers Quote Link to comment
+Geo-Kate
On the few occasions I have dealt with Garmin, I have been really badly let down by long queues on the phone, which often end up being cut off before talking to people, and a 4 week+ turnaround time for replying to emails. I did manage to get my faulty GPSmap60 replaced, but it took far too much time and aggrevation. I can honestly say from my experince, Garmin have only shown terrible customer service. I am glad however that others have had a better experience than I in dealings with them. Quote Link to comment
+The Cache Hoppers
Good old Garmin again! My faithful etrex, which had a couple of faults and some cosmetic damage, went off to Garmin last Thursday, and yesterday I received a brand spanking new one in the post, no charge. You gotta love 'em. Incidentally, can now dismantle Nuvi satisfactorily - I was having a senior moment Quote Link to comment
