Unusual places to look for benchmarks

I was looking in the NGS county list, and came across Navassa Island. The benchmark I was looking at is TZ1473 (not in the geocaching list), Station Lulu. Navassa Island is a two square mile, uninhabited island between Haiti and Jamaica. It seems mostly to be noted for guano mining, and goat herds. Wikipedia says: "The government of the United States claims the island as an unorganized unincorporated territory, and administers it through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. However, the island is also claimed by Haiti."

There are eleven benchmarks on Navassa, but no people to hunt for them.

Alas, I have decided not to travel to Navassa Island for the benchmarks. I think I'm allergic to guana.
