Where can I find a downloadable Log Book?

Dear Friends:

 

I have created my first cache, but I cannot find the Log Book that I have seen in other caches I have found. Is it available somewhere for download???? I could not find it anywhere. I could make one up, but WHY?

The closest thing to an official one is the Write in the Rain one you can purchase on this website, but its something like $9. Why not just make your own? You can get a pack of 5 spiral bound steno pads at Staples for $4 or for 50 cents each at Walmart. You can even cut them down to size to fit smaller containers (see below).

 

 

I really can't imagine any finder giving a clam's patootie that there is no "official" logo on the cover.

The only time I've seen 'customized' log books is for those really small containers. And usually they just used MS Word, typed in stash note kind of heading (If you found this...etc.) threw in some lines and printed.

There are a bunch of micro logs out there. I use my own, but here is one on this website. Here is one from the Texas Geocaching site.

 

But none of these are official. There really is no official logobook.

Yep, I'm not aware of any official logbook. I'm sure somebody would be more than happy to sell cachers a fancy logbook. At least Write in the Rain has a specific purpose.

 

A fellow cacher was moving out of state and wanted me to place a cache for them. She gave me a special logbook to go with it. Laminated, and in the multi-page cover it that includes stories and postings from this forum. I have four more copies for replacements.

go here to the geocaching website. once you do that scroll down just below "hide a cache." it should say "stash note" and below that "micro version" and right next to that is micro log book "132 logs" i think is what it says. this should answer you question. if not then i dont have any other help.

I like the "Rite in the Rain" books and have them in all of my caches in which they'll fit. Hopefully some of the money I spend goes to the cause.
