+daytribe
Hi All, I am trying to calculate the center co-ordinates of four points (a square) on the OS maps. I have the OS co-ords of the four points but they are on different maps and I can't find a simple way of finding the centre. Can anyone offer any advice? Is there a utility I can use? Thanks. +rutson
Probably an easier way, but to save brain work I would look up the coords of opposite corners on www.nearby.org.uk and get the grid refs is the form: X=403500&Y=515100 Average the X values and the Y values and bang them back in. +Bob Smith
Subtract southernmost northing from the other, half the answer and add to the southernmost, do the same for the eastings. Bob S Quote Link to comment
