Ericles
I ran across a cache recently that was labeled Wheelchair Accessible but after finding the hide... well, there's just no way. It was hidden too far off trail and too far off the ground. Should the first step be to email the cache owner or to post a note on the cache itself? TIA Quote Link to comment
Backwards Charlie from Austin
I would post a note that the cache seemed inaccessible to the wheelchair bound and also send an e-mail to the cache owner explaining why you think it is not handicap accessible. The worst that can happen is for the owner to delete your note. But if he really meant for it to be handicap accessible, he should thank you for pointing out a problem. Quote Link to comment
Trucker Lee
By all means, let the owner have a chance to recheck/correct first. Then, if nothing done or no explanation, post a note to advise potential handi-cachers. Could be the wrong attribute button was hit and missed in the proof-read. Quote Link to comment
Ericles
Thanks for the quick responses. I sent the cache owner an email. In case this comes up in other another cacher's search, the cache in question can also be given a formal "accessible" rating at Handicaching.com. Thanks! -Ericles Quote Link to comment
flask
additionally, many people don't have a realistic concept of what can be done in a wheelchair. Quote Link to comment
