I think you may have a hard time tricking them into thinking your unit is some place it's not. However you should be able to plot it out on your Mapsource software. El Diablo Quote Link to comment
+user13371 Posted March 19, 2007 Share Posted March 19, 2007 You can't fool the GPS. You might be able to pan and zoom on the GPS screen to see how your route will look there, but that's about all. To really plan/review a route I would use a tool designed for that, like Google Earth Quote Link to comment

+Airmapper Posted March 19, 2007 Share Posted March 19, 2007 My Lowrance GPS has a simulator feature that will do something close to what you describe, which is follow a route that is active. I would think an advanced unit like a 60Csx would have one. My Garmin 72 has a simulator, but I think you control it with the pan key. Quote Link to comment
