RI Quahog
I heard that the fluke GeoCoin that SquareD22 makes is all done. I guess he is putting the last dozen in some local caches. Well I am officially on patrol to see if I can "catch" one of those flukes! And i guess there may be a new coin for 2007? Anyone heard? Quote Link to comment
+tiki
That flat little fish is one of the stars of my (very small) hand-made geocoin collection! Can't wait to see what he cooks up next. Quote Link to comment
+Red Otter
I was lucky enough to find one in Think Spring II (a cache here in Newport, RI) yesterday. Awesome coin!!!!!! Quote Link to comment

+SquareD22
[D]22 here to set the record straight. A little birdy told me there was a post here. YES, i have retired the fluke geocoin. I still have about 10 left that I am placing in caches around my area, and maybe some others in places I sometimes go. The final numbers for those of you who are keeping track, are 17 made in 925 Sterling Silver. They turned out to be VERY expensive to produce and very time consuming. The count on the bronze edition will top out at 35. I am working on a new design for 2007. I should be done in a few weeks. Not sure what I will do with numbers, maybe about the same as the fluke, or I may fill like going crazy and make 100...the future will tell... Hey really nice picture that was posted, better than I took! [D]22 Quote Link to comment
danoshimano
Hey really nice picture that was posted, better than I took! Thanks! You are welcome to a high-res version in any size you desire (the original file is four times as big). Just drop me an email. P.S. I'll be watching for your new creation! Quote Link to comment
+tiki
I like that Fluke so much, I'm going to stick a picture of mine here for others to see Whoo! Yours is still so bright and sparkly! Mine has dulled down to a flat "Natural Flounder™" brown Edit: ah-ha! I see by closer examination of the photo that you have a 925 sterling silver version - hence the shine! +0R0B0RUS
I am so happy I snagged one of these the last time you offered them up to the forum. Just wanted to log my praise for this finely crafted coin. You da man D22. Quote Link to comment
