GSMA60 will not show me roads in another state?

Does anyone know what is going on my gpsmap60 is not showing me roads in ga while i am visiting?

My guess is you don't have detailed maps for that area uploaded to your receiver.

WITH WHAT CAME WITH MINE, I DONT GET ANYTHING BUT THE MAIN ROADS ANYWHERE BUT I THINK IF YOU GET THE STREET MAP CD YOU SHOULD GET ALL OF THE SECONDS AND THIRDS IN IT...

That would be my guess. The Map 60 only has 24 megs of map memory so you've likely driven out of your coverage area. If you are driving somewhere and need detailed maps for that place you need to load them.

Its the main reason I purchased the 60CSX. It's hard to drive out of 1 gig of map storage.

just got the topo mapquest cd's for gpsmap60 and they show me all the roads in my area not all the names but its not bad, some sections much better detailed then others but what do u expect for 1: 100,000 maps right? they range any where from 90- 150 $ depending an where u look. hopes this helps GENEGENE

You will probably have to load them into your 60Csx using "MapSource". I replaced my memory chip wit a 1 gig one...but it still won't hold the whole USA.
