+rattfinder
I just received my mapsource City Navigator v8 and loaded it. When searching for a cache yesterday and after finally locating it, the map screen and or data screen did not show the "Found" button. I had to physically tell it to find the cache again and then change the "treasure box" from closed to open. Am I missing something in the map setup or somewhere else that allows the "found button" to re-appear??? Edited March 3, 2007 by rattfinder Quote Link to comment
+park2
Isn't there a GeoCaching setup where you have to tell it what icons mean to find/found? Maybe they got reset. Quote Link to comment

+Red90
The "found" button is on the navigation screen. If you do not see it, you don't have the correct icon set up for Geocaching mode. This screen is where you assign the icon for found and unfound. Edited March 3, 2007 by Red90 Quote Link to comment

Am I missing something in the map setup or somewhere else that allows the "found button" to re-appear??? I use the E-trex Legend C for my cache hunting. When searching for a cache, be sure to choose the "Off Road" option in order for the gps unit to show the "Found" button. When on the road traveling to the cache, I like to use the "Follow Road" option and when I get close I will recaculate using the "Off Road" option. Hope this helped. +Ka-Ching!
Did you tell the unit to 'Go To' the geocache? Maybe this is too obvious, but you need to 'Go To' first to get the 'Found' option. Quote Link to comment
