top con Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 hello all you midwest geocachers out there.... as i'm sure most of you can figure out i'm still somewhat of a noob, and that suits me just fine! i am starting this thread because i need some assistance. i think i am going to start my geocoin collection. and to be honest, i am somewhat anxious of starting such a task. since i live in indiana (and the midwest in general), i would like to start my collection with a local coin. that's where all of you come in. since i have no coin to trade as of yet, i am going to put one of my precious crystals up on the block. and since i'm hoping this will be a good trade, i'm going to make it a crystal from my personal collection, something i think anyone would be glad to recieve. nothing too big, but very nice none-the-less. if anyone is interested in trading locally please contact me. i know some of you feel uncomfortable leaving coins in caches, but i kinda wanted to trade "through" a cache. (just becuase i like to...no other reason really) i hope to hear from you soon! thanks top con p.s.-this saturday my fiancee and i are planning a day o' caching, so we might be willing to go as far as ohio for a trade...we'll see how this pans out. thanks again! I have some coins I'd be willing to trade with you and we will be at the Greater Lafayette Pizza Gathering tomorrow night (GC10PZC). Does an event cache meet your criteria of trading through a cache? top con Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 Is that so? is that when the 07 indiana coins come out? or is it something totally different? i guess i'll have to keep an eye and ear out...thanks for the heads-up. and i can't keep my crystals, cause then my fiancee wouldn't let me go get more!! so if you come across one of them...take it and be happy knowing you are helping me win a free weekend spent in the mud. but yes, i'll keep looking, especially after finding my first coin this weekend!!!!! wooohooo (thanks bret) now i'm really addicted Quote
