FlagFinder
i bought this Gps on accident i thought i was buying a csx but misread what i read so basicly i got the unit and decided what the heck ill try it out. well i origanaly wanted the csx because it had the digital compass and the barameter so this is not close to what i wanted. i took it on 2 adventures with geocaching and it basicly runs like my 210 only slightly better. so im selling it ive had it 2 weeks brand new with no scratches or damage i cleared out my waypoints so it should be like it was before. i eill be selling it for $350 with some negotiating of coarse but heres my problem. i dont know how to use paypal. i know my dad has it but i will need some instructions before you send any money. i have photos but they are kindof hard to add here as they are in another format but i can easily send them by email or i can text you as they are on my cell. so before we get to far how do i use paypal? +user13371
so before we get to far how do i use paypal? You need an email address, a checking account and/or a credit card, and you need to go to https://www.paypal.com and follow the instructions there for signing up for an account. If you can't get a PayPal account, you could probably still arrange the sale with a Postal Money Order. On a related note, you might go to: http://www.froogle.com http://www.amazon.com http://search.ebay.com to get an idea of the current street prices of a Garmin 60CX. This will give you an idea of what to expect when people start haggling on the price. And lastly, it will help your sales prospects greatly to post pictures here of the whole package you have - including your original purchase receipt. It makes it easier for people to buy when they know EXACTLY what they're getting. Quote Link to comment
FlagFinder
yes i guess a money order would work its hard to get pics since they are on my cell i know one day i got one on here but i cant figure it out so i can text them to you or email them its the package -manual -coord -64mb card -clip and lanyard -trip and waypoint manager again the price is within resoning if no one here wants it it may be up on ebay in a week or ill keep it a while and sell it later Quote Link to comment
+user13371
People whom I have previously annoyed in this forum might be chuckling at my polite restraint here Does "the price is within resoning" mean you might come down some from your original $350 asking price? Saying you want $350 "with some negotiating of coarse" or "the price is within resoning" leaves it open to haggling. Or some nasty, evil busybody might come along and point out what the new item sells for elsewhere online... I would never do THAT, but, ummmm... have you looked at new GPS 60cx prices lately? Really, what's your bottom price, without haggling? Quote Link to comment
FlagFinder
i am comparing prices to ebay thats why its at $350 but i will go as low as $330 at that point its in stone Quote Link to comment

+user13371
Amazon is selling the 60CX for $329.Thanks, SpellDog - somebody other than me said it. I've been called foul names for quoting street prices back to sellers here. Let's take it as read that we're both evil, nasty busybodies So, with a street price of $330 - for a new unit, with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty and 30-day return priviledge from a reputable dealer - what should a used unit from a private seller go for? Let's assume good faith on the part of the seller and believe the package is complete and in like-new condition... Edited March 1, 2007 by lee_rimar Quote Link to comment
+spelldog
I just thought the can of worms was opened when the seller compared his original price to one that was listed on Ebay. I am also interested in upgrading from my 60CS to the 60CX and so I was curious about the selling price. Edited February 28, 2007 by spelldog Quote Link to comment

Neos2
Since it's so new, have you tried returning it to the store where you bought it? Most stores would love to take the "almost new" one back if you are planning to buy an upgrade model from them. Quote Link to comment

+user13371
...i will go as low as $330 at that point its in stoneI can't leave this one alone, it's too interesting. Isn't this the unit you bought at Cascade for $320 on or around 25 January? http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...howtopic=154355 (post #5 and #10) http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...t&p=2683873 (post #2) If it wasn't what you expected (you thought you were getting a 60cSx, right?), why didn't you return it then? If you really don't want the GPS, you could just take a loss and chalk it up to experience. You'll hurt your reputation here trying to pawn it off on the unsuspecting for more than you paid for it. BTW, I am interested in buying it, but not at $320. PM'd you with my best offer.
