+River_Cat16
Does anyone know of any micro SD card brands that conflict with Garmin products? Quote Link to comment
+Blaidd-Drwg
I don't know about conflicts, but my SanDisk works just fine. . I just noticed that this is the brand that came with my 60CSx. I upgraded to a 512mb disk. Edited February 27, 2007 by Team Madog Quote Link to comment
+pdxmarathonman
Not a brand. But a type. I understand that the Ultras are to be avoided. As far as size, some have used 2GB cards just fine. Quote Link to comment

+hisgrace1
Please don't think I'm crazy...but I have a 1gb micro in my Garmin now...I downloaded POI loader and am wanting to put caches on it...do I have to have a card reader to do this or just through the USB cable like I do my other caches from GSAK?......... Motorcycle_Mama
You don't have to have a card reader. You can do it with the card in the unit. Quote Link to comment

+Sllim Chance
I bought a Lexar 2GB and it did not work. I wonder if my card is faulty? Anyone else used this card? SDMI2GB-695 Rev A Quote Link to comment

SDMI2GB-695 Rev A I think the 2GB cards are hit and miss. Seems like I remember 1GB is the largest officially-supported size, but some users report success with some 2GB cards. Quote Link to comment

Neo_Geo
...do I have to have a card reader to do this...? You don't have to have a card reader. You can do it with the card in the unit. In fact, you can use your GPSr as a card reader! It's a bit of a hassle if you were to use it as a reader for other cards, but the function is there if need be. +Thrak
I use a SanDisk 2GB card without any problems. The "SanDisk Ultra" cards are NOT supported. Quote Link to comment
+Sllim Chance
Update: I reformatted the card, updated the Rino firmware and card now works. I loaded all of city navigator on it as a test. Took near 2 hours to load. I bought a Lexar 2GB and it did not work. I wonder if my card is faulty? Anyone else used this card? SDMI2GB-695 Rev A Quote Link to comment
BelchFire
Took near 2 hours to load. That's actually pretty good. My Vista HCx took over 6 hours to load 1985 segments of TOPO 2008. Quote Link to comment
