+Prime Suspect
Never noticed before. I use this Greasemonkey script to automatically show them in medium format, rather than the thumbnails. Link to comment

I see, but there is no reason that Portrait thumbnails should be so pixelised, there is obviously a programming/processing error, who can be contacted to put it right? Link to comment
+gh patriot
I have the same problem with some of mine i think. But when you open them up they look fine so thats good enough for me. Sorry I dont know enough about these crazy machines to tell you why it is the way it is. Link to comment
+knoffer
I have noticed this before too. I only see the problem when the picture is taken as a landscape and rotated to portrait via GC dot com. If I rotate the picture before posting I don't notice the problem. Link to comment

I was going to say that......seems to be the primitive code on the server for picture editing. So the solution would be to rotate and edit them before upload. - Use software like irfanview (free) Link to comment
+CO Admin
It is a known issue. Groundspeak is aware of it. At some point when the major fixes are done this will be taken care of. Edited February 27, 2007 by CO Admin Link to comment
