+Mike+Mary
One of our caches is hard to locate because GPS reception is badly affected by tree cover. We've therefore given quite precise hints to help cachers to find it. Many have done just that, so it's a problem rather than a crisis. Another option would be to resite it in or near a clearing where signals are stronger. How far can a cache can be moved & still stay within the rules of the game? Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
From a previous thread. Quote from Deceangi Owners can move caches up to 0.1 miles [528ft/161m] before hitting a system block after which it becomes a Reviewer only option. If it needs moving further, drop a note to the reviewer/s G Quote Link to comment
NickPick
I think you can overcome the 0.1 mile block by moving it 0.1 miles, then another, then another etc. Although I think if you're moving it more than a few meters, perhaps it would be better to archive the current cache listing and make a new listing for the box at its new location. Edgemaster
I think you can overcome the 0.1 mile block by moving it 0.1 miles, then another, then another etc. It gets flagged for review if you do that. There was a thread on it some time ago. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
From previous thread... As it's a Multi, update the Additional Waypoint. And advise the reviewer who published it [in this case ME ] I'll do a proximity check to make sure it is not located to close to a waypoint from a separate cache. If you wish to move a Traditional cache or the posted coordinates [those at the top of the page] for Multi/Puzzle caches, this can be done by visiting the edit page and clicking on the coordinate link. Owners can move caches up to 0.1 miles [528ft/161m] before hitting a system block after which it becomes a Reviewer only option. Oh and a word of warning to anyone who believes they can beat the block by moving a cache over 0.1 miles in several moves, you will be caught as several cachers have found out Quote Link to comment
+Mike+Mary
Many thanks for info - 161m gives plenty of scope to resite a cache! Quote Link to comment

Always worthwhile to put a note in the description, that the cache has new co-ords, in case someone has the old details printed out/stored in PDA... eg ...and not just us! G Quote Link to comment
