Jester1970
Some time back I had a TB muggled (after only SIX miles). A mate says that I can have another tag made up using the number from the spare. Is this acceptable or not? Quote Link to comment
+Jimblonduk
You could always copy the spare onto card, laminate it and attach it to your replacement TB, then you still have the spare and wont lose everything if it gets muggled again. I think it would get confusing though if the original ever turned up...multiple mileages. It may be best to wait awhile to see if the original does turn up. Quote Link to comment
+FollowMeChaps
It may be worth hanging on for a while. I lost one last year for a good couple of months then it reappeared in another cache without a log - turned out to be a phantom cacher as it seems there are quite a few. Good luck Quote Link to comment
+The Bongtwashes
I lost one last year, when the second cache it visitted got muggled. I photocopied the COPY dogtag and laminated it. and released it under a different name and mission. Since then it has logged over 15000 miles, and is currently in South Africa. Quote Link to comment
Jester1970
It was last logged on 1st July 2006. The cache was muggled shortly after. Has anyone ever seen one of these replacement tags? Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Use the :"Copy" tag that you recieve with the tag, or make your own copy tag, just laminate and mark it as a travel bug so people know it's a TB. We dropped off a TB and it 'dissapeared' only to turn up 12 months later, many miles away from where we left it! (Spookily it was found by a cacher we know, as we are often in FTF races against him, in certain areas!) G Quote Link to comment
