OK, I Got My Magellan 500 Now

I need some ?'s answered,First ? can i just start downing waypoints to the 500 from GSAK or do i have to run the Installation Wizard.Second ? What is the Installation Wizard and what does it do? Third ? i got a Mapsend Software with it too, I tell you my Garmin 60CSX is not like this.Thanks for the help.

yup you gotta do the install cd. your os needs to recognize it as an explorist. you need to use the software included since it converts the info to its very own type. Call for support IF YOU DARE

There is also a flash update available from www.magellangps.com. The update adds some missing functionality, such as waypoint projection... You can read more about it on their website.
