+cakemaker Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Have just taken the dogs out, probably now got frost-bite on my face! Here in Worcestershire, we've got 3 inches so far, still falling and drifting in places. Wondering if there's any hardened souls thinking of caching today? Quote
+Simply Paul Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I did some cache maintainance yesterday, but I don't think I'll be driving anywhere today. This bit of Bucks has several inches, and it's still falling. I think I'll find my thick socks and take my camera out. Quote
+Team Balders Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I'd love to go out BUT I'm off work with a bad back Covering one's tracks should prove interesting Quote
+Tiger-Eyes Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 (edited) I heard the forcast so I took littleun off pre-school yesterday so I could get a whole days caching in 1 fantastic multi , 1 DNF then we all fell over and got covered in mud so we gave up and went home. Today I'm going caching via pc by trying to solve some of those puzzles. Only just started to snow in Norfolk Edited February 8, 2007 by The Nutters Quote

+also_cute_and_fluffy Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I wish I could go caching, but alas I've got to get the 4wd out just to go and sell soap. The people of Stoke-on-Trent must be really grubby ..... LOL Quote
+Alibags Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 It's a bit snowy here in SW Hertfordshire! I could not get my car out of the street this morning, and now some kids have built a snowman across the road!! See these pics taken this morning Quote

+Alibags Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Strangely, I was saying last night that I should build a barrier across the road and then water it so it froze and then blame it on the kids... except there was no need to it seems. Cannot get out of the street to drive to work (shame). Nearest unfound by me cache is 3.4 miles away as the GPS flies (SHAME). Quote

I'll have to try that next time Mind you they'd still expect me to get to work, we have very ardent customers who tend to complain... Even though I'm 7-1/2 months pregnant...the joy. I should just give up and do that cache I've been meaning to do that's only 1.8 miles away..... Quote

Performed a little maintenance and observed how the multi part of my cache looked in 2" of snow this morning. The seekers have trouble finding coloured fir cones in good weather! and I could only achieve 4 out of 5 today!. Quote

My ever gracious boss joked earlier... "Due to the inclament weather, anyone that would like to leave at 5pm may do so...." We work flexi, and the office shuts at 5pm anyway!!! Quote

Did one cache on the way home from work yesterday - "Do you come here Ufton?" A very pleasant walk in the woods, obviously a popular dog-walking route by the trails of footprints. Quote
+Alice Band Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 You call that light sprinkling of talcum powder snow?? I grew up in Germany and used to watch my father dig out his car from under 5 foot of snow before we could go to school. Well, at least my 7 year old is enjoying it before it freezes rock hard then melts. Quote

+Simply Paul Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Aylesbury's church is looking nice. I may go out later and pretend to be Jack Nicholson frozen in the snow at the end of The Shining. Quote
