Midnight Ramblers
I find myself here again, with another silly question. I know you guys will be able to help me. I believe there is a feature available where a cache-owner will receive emails regarding any activity (logs etc) for their cache or, indeed, the same for travelling items. How do I turn this feature on? Currently I have to manually check whether people have visited (or picked up). I have tried adding them to my watchlist but the system won't let me and helpfully informs me that because I own them they are automatically on my watchlist. Thanks, in advance. (Yes, I have found more than I have hidden) Quote Link to comment
Bear and Ragged
The system should do it automaticly, it does with our TB's. Not part of the email hold-up, mentioned on anther thread is it? G Quote Link to comment
Midnight Ramblers
I have been getting the weekly update so assumed the email was working fine for me. However, I will investigate - thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
currykev
I have sent you a test log to see if you receive an email for your "You Can't Always...." cache. You can then delete my log.Good Luck. Quote Link to comment
Bear and Ragged
Our TB logs come through as and when its logged as retrieved/discovered/dropped off. There is a poosibility that you could get 3 or more emails on one bug in a day. eg 1 for retrieved by a cacher, 1 for it being discovered by a second cacher, and a 3rd for dropped off in a cache. -check the email isnt going into a spam folder. +kbootb
E-mail alerts are enabled automatically for things you own. I don't always get the e-mails, sometimes things on the server don't work. Sometimes my ISP spam blocker takes a dislike to geocaching mail and has to be reminded that it is not spam. If you never get mails, I would check that your registered e-mail is correct. +Midnight Ramblers
Thanks everybody - I have found them all. It helps when you check the correct email account! I now need to go and plough through 62 messages and work out why they are not getting through to Outlook. I owe you all one Quote Link to comment
