+silverado rocket
Idea for new glossary word---geogarb--- ( short for garbage ).Definition----geocacher who collects but doesn't log geocoins,TB's,etc. Also included are cache owners who abandon or don't maintain their caches. Also included are cachers who write nasty notes in on site cache logs. silverado rocket Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
Since "garb" means clothing, when I hear "geogarb" I tend to think of a hat with the geocaching logo, a CITO t-shirt, and my favorite Signal the Frog underoos. Typically a word is added to a glossary once it enters into common popular use. I've never heard this term before. Where's it popular? I don't much care for it. Link to comment

I'm sure that's just an oversight, right? Edited February 7, 2007 by Prime Suspect Link to comment
+pcsenn
There are many terms that describe geocaching. I came across one that I liked RASH Recreational Acrivity/Sport/Hobby). I modified it a bit to make it RASHO (Recreational Activity/Sport/Hobby/OBSESSION). I have only seen it on one cache page though. Perhaps others will like it and start using it as well. Why is someone bad because they find but don't hide?? Link to comment
+ReadyOrNot
So do you have to write books to read them? Do you have to program video games to play them? Do you have to cook to eat? I think the point was that the OP is complaining about cache owners, yet the OP has never placed a cache. I think it would do the OP some good to place a cache and get some experience in that area before complaining about cache owners. At least someone who abandons a cache actually placed a cache. They at least are contributing more than someone who has never placed a cache. Noone said that the OP doesn't have the right to complain, but he better be prepared and put his flame suit on. +BlueDeuce
I read a log once and thought this term was kinda clever. (It was at a dog park) "Waited out a muzzle (canine muggle) and found the cache right away." Edited February 27, 2007 by BlueDeuce Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
Ummm, they're called "doggles," not "muzzles." Link to comment
+flask
i don't think we need any new terms for labeling people whose ractices we don't like. they're people, not trash. i cannot imagine how developing a new tern by which to categorize people negatively will help anything. should we maybe have a new term for people who make one broad new term for everyone they don't like? how about lexiscum? as in "the op is just lexiscum." no? didn't feel so nice? think twice about the other. +Pablo Mac
Why is someone bad because they find but don't hide?? I don't think anyone here is calling them bad, but they aren't contributing to the fun like cache hiders are. But that's for another discussion. Link to comment
