I thought I would start a thread to see how old everybody is. I was just wondering what age bracket this hobby seems to attract? I just turned 41 here in California...

I'm 49. From the geocachers I've met, most seem to be from their mid 20's to mid 50's. There are a handful of teens and more than a handful of older cachers, but most I know are in that 25-55 range.

Old enough to have a daughter who was a senior in college in 2003 who brought home the idea of geocaching on her last spring break. And we didn't wait to get a GPS unit to start caching. We found our first six without a unit, the next seven with a borrowed one.

50 as of Jan.2, 2007! Rocks don't even live this long! My youngest son who usually comes with me is 14. Also, have 22 yr. old son(left the nest), 21 yr. old daughter in college, 16 yr. old daughter and 9 yr. old daughter.

82 in April and the XYL is 80. We have over 1600 finds. Somewhere on the forum, someone was much older than I am and had about 1000 more finds. Dick

Although age is of little importance there is no harm in asking.

I am about to turn 32 yrs young.

My wife, who accompanies me occasionally, is about to be 26 yrs old.

Can you guess who is the more responsible one?

Acting grown up is over rated anyways.

Up untill a few years ago, I would say that I was 19, at least thats how I felt and quite often how I acted. Now I'm leaning more towards saying I'm getting to be around 29 because I'm not still feeling like a 19 yr old.

My wife says to me, "Just remember, you turned 39 before me!"
