I really didn't make this space for caching. I do "blog" my caching experiences. I believe this page could express some of me needs to cache, share love, and spread peace.

Check it out, if you want to "add" me make a note that you are a geocacher.

Peace, love, & happy :o caching.

Just a quick note... the HTML part of your link in your original post is defective, as it contains some non-HTML-address characters. However, the link works if you cut and paste the actual HTML address as displayed in English into a browser links bar.

Speaking of defective links and such, I noted the other day that this thread was initially started by the OP in February 2007, but their MySpace account has since been discontinued or disabled. Looks like the OP lost interest in both MySpace and in geocaching!

I agree with Nytrostarss.. Don't abuse it.. Myspace has been getting bombarded with lots of spammers as of late.. If you see the [Mark As Spam] label on the new Friends list, I made a suggestion of it, because there were so many new requests, and a good 90% were entire page hyperlinks. (Read, no matter where you clicked on their page, it all went to the same spam-mill. This even included the tag at the bottom, to report abuse, and even blank spaces.)

I'm also VERY choosy on who I accept.. #1, it's not a popularity contest. #2, I use it to keep in contact with a close knit group of friends in the ren-faire community. #3, Spam should remain in a small square can. Need I say more?

For those who do venture to the page, make sure your speakers are turned down low. "All For One" by Blackmore's Knight (Ritchie Blackmore, and Candice Knight.) (Yes, the same "Deep Purple" & Rainbow Ritchie Blackmore.)

If you are on MySpace and tired of all the spam and "Enlarge Your Penis" ads, jaunt on over to Facebook. I rarely go to MySpace anymore since signing up over at Facebook. You have to add someone before you can see their profile. And you use your actual name so it is easier for people to find you.

Here's mine even though I rarely check it anymore...www.myspace.com/shuckymomo

Thanks for the info. I don't know a lot about HTML, URL, etc.... I see what you are saying though. If I knew exactly how to fix it, I would but I don't want to mess anything else up. So for now I will leave it. Thanks for letting me know.

I even did a search on myspace and did not come up with much when looking for geocaching!!!

That is because you likely accidentally left the search bar selector option set to the default option of "People". If you will search again on "geocaching" but this time search under the option "MySpace", you will find many dozens of pages of search return listings, including hundreds (if not thousands) of member profiles, dozens of groups, even videos and slide shows (in fact, some of the video/photo material has been posted by finders of my Psycho caches about their Psycho cache adventures.)

Personally, I do have a MySpace account, but it is not primarily for use in connecting with the geocaching world. Frankly, I already know tons of people in the geo world, and I hardly need MySpace for that.

BTW Beth, I visit Kalamazoo MI sometimes to visit a very dear friend who lives there (she is also a geocacher), and I just looked at the map, and you are located all the way at the NE tip of Michigan, about as far from Kalamazoo as possible! <_< Wow!

I always heard there were only four kinds of people with MySpace or FaceBook accounts..

1. Pedophiles looking for prey.

2. teenie boppers who like to brag about their questionable exploits.

3. Spouses wanting to cheat on their spouses.

4. Adult children with too much time on their hands (see #1)

Gosh, I am glad to hear that you live your life by what you hear, i.e., what you "have always heard" from the masses. That should get you far in life! Hope you have lots of fun with that strategy!:laughing:

For those of you who want to add your geocaching stats bar to your MySpace profile, you'll find that my Stats Bar Redirector will help, since MySpace normally strips out dynamic images.

I just made it even easier to use based on comments made in another thread.

I tried using the html provided on my Waymarking page to post my Waymarking stats bar to my Myspace account. It won't work, and I wonder if it's the same issue.

Has anyone found a workaround for this? I don't know enough about html to fix it.

5. renaissance folk, who keep in contact with friends from local faires.

only partial of #4, with no predatory intentions.

Someone's been watching too much sensationalized news again... <_<:)

I only have 1 teen listed. strictly friend, because of common interest. (Robotics)

I'm also very diligent in fighting some of that spam, and turning in people who use myspace to

spread HTML viruses.

when you click your link, it says that you don't have a Myspace page, or something like invalid friend ID
