Kring-gal Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Earlier I was seeking where to find amo cans for cheap. Someone did respond, but when my school reimagaged our computers I lost all the info. I tried looking on and can't find them as cheap or the same site. they were actually only $3.00 something. Please help! I would love to find that site so I can order a couple. Thank you! Gecko206 Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 I actually have an army surplus store in town, so I can get all sizes of ammo cans for just a few bucks. See if there is one near you. Oops, was that spam? Sorry about that, Jeremy. He asked. Quote

Zoptrop Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Depending upon what part of the country you live in... Academy Sporting Goods sells ammo cans (or at least plastic facsimilies thereof). Quote

Zoptrop Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 The plastic ones I've seen in the field have not been waterproof. Good point. I *think* the one I have has a rubber seal, but I've yet to do anything with it. I'm gonna dig it out of the closet and check. Quote
+Arndtwe Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 surplus stores. 30 cal. for three bucks, 50 cal. for five -eight bucks Quote
Zoptrop Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I checked out the plastic one I was planning on using and it has a rubber gasket/seal, but the clamp is no where near as "tight" as the "real" metal ones. It doesn't look like it'd be very water tight at all. I think I'll place it in the washing machine the next time I do a load of towels and see what happens... Quote
