Keystone
More than likely, the tb log is not "false" but rather someone came and picked it up from your cache without logging it. Don't delete the "found it" log of the person who dropped the travel bug off. Rather, remove the travel bug from your cache page. To do this, go to the travel bug's page and select "Mark as Missing" from the dropdown menu at the top right. It works for swiped geocoins, too. Quote Link to comment
+team lagonda
Keystone,,that got the tb from being listed on the main caches page but when you look at the individual cache page its still listed in the inventory.. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Once it's marked missing it might take a short while for everything to synch up. Edited January 30, 2007 by briansnat Quote Link to comment
+GrnXnham
Be sure to give it a few weeks before logging this TB out of your cache. Someone who picked it up could be on vacation and they just haven't logged the TB out, yet. Quote Link to comment
+welch
You can 'mark as missing' those TB/Coins that you own, and those that are logged as being in caches you own. You can NOT do this for other owners TB/Coins, Or those logged as being in caches Not owned by you. In that case you would want to email the cache or TB owner and ask them to do it. If they don't respond, then you can send an message to your local reviewer and ask them to mark it as unknown. Make sure you include the URL of the TB/coin, and expect it to take a couple days(?) as they probably have other tasks to get done first. Quote Link to comment
+Markwell
Be sure to give it a few weeks before logging this TB out of your cache. Someone who picked it up could be on vacation and they just haven't logged the TB out, yet. That may be true, but marking it missing doesn't hurt the bug. It just puts it in limbo. When the hypothetical-vacationing-cacher-who-found-the-bug-but-hasn't-logged-it-yet person logs it, it will be a grab, but it will just move into their inventory. Quote Link to comment
