+Harrison Adventure Team
Anyone have any hide ideas for the bone cache? I have a couple but was hoping for some more, just to try to make it the best, most unique hide I have done. PM's would be the best in case anyone from my area reads these! I appreciate the ideas! Thanks! Quote Link to comment

+Bill & Tammy
Unless I misunderstand, the only problem with using actual bones in the wild is that other critters will consume them for their calcium. Quote Link to comment

+Harrison Adventure Team
Thanks and yes I had thought the same thing about placing a bone in the wild, that is why I have been really trying to think of some good ideas so it doesn't disappear. Any other ideas? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+CJPJ
Well you could always make faux bone - make some basic molds out of bones w/ latex then use a plastic or light cement base.... my gears are turning now for something in my area.... LOL Quote Link to comment

FlagFinder
if you use fur you could just lay it in the middle of the sidewalk in downtown new york and still be muggleproof Quote Link to comment
+Harry Dolphin
if you use fur you could just lay it in the middle of the sidewalk in downtown new york and still be muggleproof I guess you've never cached in 'downtown New York' (whatever that means). I've cached Manhattan extensively, and never seen a bone covered with fur. I've even done a fair number of caches in the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and State Island, and still never seen a bone on the sidewalk. Where, exactly, is 'downtown New York'? if you use capital letters and punctuation people might be able to understand what youre trying to say Quote Link to comment
+olbluesguy
Bone?...Fur?...now you got me thinking. Anyone ever hide a cache in fake roadkill? Quote Link to comment
+4leafclover
uh-oh... I think I just got a "clue" regarding H-A-T's next hide! Quote Link to comment
+dream chaser
I bought an animal skull replica about 6" in diameter for GCTXDV 'garde du corps' made from resin at a Pet Smart store in the aquarium section. Cost about $5. Placed the cache container between the 'gnashing teeth'. Quote Link to comment
