MtnHermit Posted January 24, 2007 Share Posted January 24, 2007 So just got a eTrex Venture Cx and overall the sounds it makes are too muted for my taste. Can I increase the volume level? I've found ~20 different tones that I can apply to different functions, they're all muted. Perhaps given the waterproof case, the speaker can't blast out. On my cell phone I have to set the volume to its lowest setting, otherwise it hurts my ears. Thanks Hermit Quote Link to comment

I checked out the available tones and selected the ones that are longest in duration (as opposed to one short tone). Now when I'm driving on the interstate, I can hear the "turn coming up" signals -even with the windows open. Quote Link to comment
