+Kit Fox
I started this forum thread Best Cache Page Layout I'm a firm believer in "less is more" I realize that there are many cachers using dial-up internet connections. Too many cache pages are graphics intense, and they are a nightmare for Cachemate, printing cache pages, and for dial-up users. Here is my best example of "less is more" The Real "Lost World" Cache Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
I like this page Dark Skies. I think the use of the right graphics probably helped his cause in getting this virtual listed. We're hoping to get to it in March, I hope we have a clear night! edit bad link Edited January 22, 2007 by Isonzo Karst Quote Link to comment
+Team Shydog
I enjoy the cache pages done by Mr. Incredible. Here is an example Mr. Incredible example Quote Link to comment
+Snoogans
This cache always comes to mind when this topic is raised. That particular hider has some awesome looking cache pages and unique caches. I think he's mostly into Terracaching these days if he caches at all. Quote Link to comment
+Team Perks
I spend considerably more time viewing cache listings in GSAK and Cachemate than on GC.com, so the most appealing cache page layout is the type that doesn't leave me frustrated while looking for the cache because I can't view all the pretty pictures... +eigengott
What's the most visually aesthetic cache page? Every page that displays properly in CacheMate on a not-so-recent Palm. Quote Link to comment
+GeoWomyn_SF_CA
What's the most visually aesthetic cache page? Nice photos, background, colors etc... I think images can add excitement to a hunt. I like this one just because I added my own watercolor to it. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...ec-ed5c455d9b88 And this one because it includes a photo strip of characters that people know in my area http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...96-bab213fc0a78 Mostly, I tend to use plain or textured backgrounds and one image. Good Things, GeoWomyn_SF_CA Quote Link to comment

I am assuming it is html code... Quote Link to comment
bogleman
Upload a picture to the cache page (or some other stable internet location) then view the picture in it's own window (so you can copy the url). Edit your listing and check the little box that says background - paste the link for your picture and save the changes - view the listing to make sure is is what you want. No fancy tricks or amazing code, I dont know a darn thing about html and I can do it. Another helper is that when you are viewing a listing right click and select view source - this will show quite a bit of info but will help with the layout to see what others have done. Thanks, that is the process I have used on some of my cache pages to date, but that process does not "fix" the background so that the image doesn't scroll with the cache page. It looks like the fixed background image may not be possible any longer.. Quote Link to comment
