+mamid
I'm planning on placing my first cache. But I got a question to ask and I know its going to develope into a "I got this really unusual thang in a cache." I'm planning on knitting up a scarf for the ftf prize for the first two caches I'm going to place. I have a location for one, but not the other. I've seen the chain mail balls from one cacher. What others have been found or placed? Quote Link to comment

I have placed gift certificates to local surplus store for ammo cans, and unactivated coins. I have seen lottery tickets, coins for adoption, and unactivated coins. Quote Link to comment
kateweb
I saw a broken iPod once and i see unopened packs of rechargeable batteries from time to time ( good for keeping the GPS happy) oh and the best joke so far ? deodorant . Quote Link to comment
+Woodlit
I like the scarf idea, adds a personal touch. I would wear scarfs while caching, but the tails get in the way all the time. That is why I switched over to neck gators. You should knit one of them. I think people will like it, and its probably less work on your part Quote Link to comment
+mamid
so, if I were to knit stuff like scarves and place them in caches as trade swag, people would like them? Quote Link to comment
+Woodlit
I would love them. But don't expect people to trade even for them. And I think a scarf folded up will take up a lot of space. Might be hard to jam them into some caches. Quote Link to comment
+mamid
neck gator? I have two scarves knit for the cache. And its so full of stuff, I'm going to have to put it in a bigger ziplock to keep it together. LOL and the scarves are stuffable too. but the sudoku book or box of pencil crayons won't let the lid sit right. Just waiting for approval now. Quote Link to comment
FlagFinder
i cant recall finding anything strange but one day i found a really awesome coin and i wanted to move it so i put in like 10 individual wet naps from buffolo wild wings lol Quote Link to comment
kateweb
neck gator? it's the neck of the turtle neck with out the rest of the shirt, I love them cus the tend to go right up to the bridge of your nose or just below and you coat keeps the wind out when the gator is tucked in. +msrubble
A "neck gaiter" is what Woodlit is suggesting. Quote Link to comment

So is it more closely related to a turtle or an alligator? Quote Link to comment
