If you're out caching and all the sats disappear, then I would start being concerned Seriously though, I don't believe it was a GPS sat that was shot down. I believe it was one of their own old beasts. If they had shot down one of ours, that would be an act of war. Quote

If there is a war over Taiwan, the US plan to wade in and the Chinese will take out US Satellites - they'll start with the spy satellites but the GPS ones won't be far behind. All of a sudden I'm in favour of Galileo. don't bet on it. if you've a limited number a rockets are you going to take out the ones that control cruise missiles and all their targeting equipement or the ones that let them look at you?
