+ranger216
I have had people inquire into a steam engine coin to go with my set of "trainset geocoins".. I found a really nice one to make a coin of.. This will be seperate from the 2007 Ranger216 4 coin train set which will be offered later in the year Is there still an interest in this coin? +ranger216
Here are some further considerations: The coin will be available in the same metals as the original set.. (Nickel, Silver, Copper, Bronze, & Gold) If you have an 06 set that is numbered and you want this coin numbered... just tell me your metal and number.... I am not yet sure what size I want this coin.. pricing looks like this for the nickel: 1.75" - $8.00 2" - $8.50 I will go with the consensus of the group Please post and let me know Quote Link to comment

That would be a good size. Both cars done would be nice too. Would like our 2 numbers in the gold for continuity and this would look great in nickel so would be in for that too. What ever is decided, sure they will be great. Quote Link to comment

The steam engine looks really cool, might have to order a couple of extra sets, too! I'd prefer 1.75" to match the last set, but I will order the same if you go with 2". +9Key
I'd like a set. I think 1.75" is plenty large enough. Quote Link to comment
+tokencollector
Given the relative length of a passenger car (or the private car shown) relative to an engine(or an engine tender combo), I might suggest that the engine be a 1.75" coin with the car being a 2" coin. Quote Link to comment

glennk721
Greets, I would like to add these coins to my 2006 sets as well . This Steam Engine front side of coin is leading to the right. The sets I have in hand the front of the Engine is leading to the left , Modern trains it's not uncommen to have a Engine Front and Rear, But not in the era of the Steam Engine ? Just a observation . EDIT typo.. Edited January 17, 2007 by glennk721 Quote Link to comment

+slowdownracer
Definitely want a steam engine to go with my set from last year. I think I have the nickel set, #015. Put me down for one. And 1.75" sounds good. Tender car is a "maybe". Will have to see it first. Quote Link to comment

I think it will take away from its general appearance,, to make it a 2nd coin ..I dont think I want to do that I am really wanting to do that pass car along with the steam engine... unless the community WOULD prefer the tender to the pass car at this time Quote Link to comment

No..... The 07 set will be the same as the 06 set as they will be current rolling stock.. ie.. tanker, reefer, auto carrier, etc.. the steam engine and passenger car will be vintage railroad cars... The 07 set will be made available sometime in midyear and I will open another thread closer to that time to explore what the community wants as fasr as rolling stock.. I got a great drawing from Gridlox last year and I know I want to use that theme.(graffiti on one of the cars) Quote Link to comment
