Hyperlinking to profiles

I'm creating a website. I'd like to create links for viewers to visit both my profile here on Geocaching.com, and other geocacher's profiles. How can I do this without using stat bars?

I don't think that will work unless the person is logged in.

There's no way to view a profile without logging in; that link is the best method.

Since your visitors can't view profiles without being logged in, therefor needing to create a profile themselves, I think the statsbars would be your best solution.

Although this doesn't work for all usernames, it is relatively handy:

<a href="http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=username">username</a>

 

Just replace 'username' with the cacher's name.

When you first go to someones profile simply copy the url currently displayed in your browser's address bar.

Then the code would be as follows:

 

<a href="http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=d0ee4b07-bdc6-4204-bcc7-4e98e04faa94">AZBliss02</a>

 

Just replace the url that is between the quotes and you're set. Again though, there is no way of displaying someones profile without being a registered, logged in, user.
