Meckers
I want to enhance the base map of my Exporist 210 to show all of my POI's. For example, it is missing several very small towns in a particular area. I'm not talking about populating the entire map with every small town, just specific towns in areas I might be hiking. I have the towns entered as POI's however, they are in sub-folders, e.g Elk for Elk County PA etc. How can I get my base map to show all of these POI's without having to load them into one mass default POI folder? Is there a "show all" command? Quote Link to comment

First off I bought the Topo 3D maps which is so worth the money, that will help a lot. Also try your "preferences" button, then go to active setup scroll down to My POI's, press enter and that will give you your files, if it runs the same as the XL, which I am pretty sure it does. Hope this helps! Quote Link to comment

Meckers
Thanks guys. I guess I have to ditch the file structure concept and dump them all into the default POI file. No big deal. Quote Link to comment
+embra
Yup, if you want them to display at once they have to be in a single POI file that is designated in Active Setup. The only corollary to that is that you can also display a Geocache POI file at the same time. That allows you up to 700 POIs altogether at a time. Quote Link to comment
Meckers
Ok, here's a twist. I use the Geocache Manager to load my caches. Is there a similar program to enter POI's? I know I can use the GM to do that but it would be in the cache form. I'd like to stay with the POI format (choice of icon, etc.). Quote Link to comment
+embra
EasyGPS would do that, as would most any mapping software program (although the latter may require something like GPSBabel to translate formats). Quote Link to comment
